Jungle Scout Chrome Extension Pro vs Lite

Last Updated on May 2, 2021 by Jay Clover

If you already have an idea of what products you want to sell, the Jungle Scout Chrome Extension will help you to really evaluate those products so you can decide if they are right for you.

The Chrome Extension has two versions, the Lite and Pro which both integrate into your browser which you can access by simply clicking onto the JS icon in your browser.

Both versions are simple, clean and easy to use but which one should you choose?

Jungle Scout Chrome Extension: Lite

The Lite version contains various features that should enable you to make some fairly informed research on your products.

The information you’ll see includes:

  • Product name
  • Brand
  • Price
  • Category
  • Rank
  • Estimated Sales (over 30 days)
  • Estimated Revenue (over 30 days)
  • Reviews
  • Rating
  • Seller (Amazon, FBA or merchant)

If you’re on a budget, you’ll still be able to see some pretty important metrics with the Lite version when searching through your products.

The Lite version costs $97 on an annual subscription.

Jungle Scout Chrome Extension: Pro

The Pro version contains everything that the Lite version has, along with some more advanced features.

One of the biggest features included in this version is the additional columns of data you can view which include:

  • FBA fees
  • Number of sellers
  • Size (standard or over-sized)
  • Product dimensions
  • Net after the FBA fees are deducted

With Pro, you’ll also get access to more advanced filters, to really help you narrow down your research.

One of my favorite tools you get with the Pro version is the Opportunity Score, which gives a score between 1-10 depending on how much competition and demand a particular product has. The higher the Opportunity Score, the better opportunity you have with that product.

Take note that in order to fully take advantage of the Pro features, you need a professional sellers’ account with Amazon as you must enter your API keys to access the data. If you don’t have this, you can still take advantage of the advanced filters in Pro but that’s about it.

The Lite version costs $197 on an annual subscription.

Should I choose Jungle Scout Pro or Lite?

Both the Lite and Pro versions will make your product research a lot easier and quicker.

If you’re new to selling on Amazon and have a tighter budget, the Lite version will be a great tool to help with your research. You’ll be able to check out your potential competition to see if the products are worth investing in or not.

If you’ve been selling on Amazon for a while and already have a professional sellers account, it makes sense to go for the Pro version as it will allow you access the additional features helping to further increase your efficiency when deciding on which products to buy.
